In 2001, in Markham, it was more than 50%. Here’s the question: what happens when the ‘visible minority’ exceeds 50%? We’ve come to interpret that term in a fairly narrow way thus far it seems. How can you call someone a ‘visible minority’ when they are no longer the minority?
