i was pondering that idea and i think i might. ever since oink shut down I find myself not listening to nearly as much new music. and itunes now has pretty much every new indie release. i even know people with self published albums which are on itunes.
If they did go with this model wouldn’t that mean they would have to put DRM back on the music? Otherwise it would be pretty easy to share music since you can download the entire iTunes library. I’d say this idea is a lot more talk than actual consideration (though $100 an iPod x 1 ka-zillion iPods sold is a lot of gold).
