I really hated the translucent menubar at first but have now gotten used to it. I assume this is because my wallpaper has black at the top that makes the menubar have a slight gradient. I looked into fixing it but decided to wait for official Apple fixes — and it sounds like it will be in the options for 10.5.2.
It’s pretty amazing that this is one of the major gripes with leopard. Imagine if MS only had UI complaints to deal with…
