While as the co-founder of BillMonk I’m of course biased, I’d like to hear more about why you think the FaceBank (now called MoochSpot) Facebook API reference application is more compelling than BillMonk. BillMonk offers a better user experience and superior feature set, including shared bills and tracking borrowed items. Now that we’ve integrated with the Facebook API, BillMonk makes it easy to both track borrowing with your Facebook friends AND your friends who don’t use Facebook.
Which isn’t to sound overly defensive; MoochSpot isn’t necessarily bad thing for BillMonk. Tt’s inevitable that good ideas attract imitators. Having competitors validates the social money space, and educates users to choose tools that help with borrowing with friends. Winning becomes a question of focus and knowing what the user wants.
