I doubt it. We Waterloo engineers may be smart, but we can also be known for blind persistance. He’ll waste 5 years in the ugly ECE buildings and labs, graduate and realize that he’s really no better off than he was before he got here. At least he doesn’t have to rely on coop to pay for skyrocketing tutition.
Yes, I’m writing this in the Waterloo ECE Operating Systems lab. Yes, it really is ugly. Imagine a 70’s museum. This monitor is at least 30 years old.
He’s actually a SYDE student. I think he’s on coop at the company that bought his product now.
