Thanks to netflix i’ve probably watched more movies in the last 2 months than in the last 2 years. So I recently watched Finding Neverland which somewhat tells the story of J.M Barrie and the family that inspired his play, Peter Pan. “What a nice little story” I thought. But it seems Hollywood left a few things out. Imagine that? A quick google on Mr. Barrie led me to a wikipedia post which informed me that one of the boys died in WWI, another killed himself in a suicide pact with his gay lover, and Peter committed suicide while severely intoxicated. It also seems Peter resented being known as Peter Pan his whole life and hated Barrie for not leaving him anything in his will. At this point, you should queue up “hollywood ending” by hayden.
